Using the Library for your Committee's work

Using the Library

Each community has a Library that the members of the community can upload Files to for collaboration and sharing. What you decide to put there will depend on what your community does.

  • Committees may want to store working documents related to a publication or research
  • Chapter groups could store meeting minutes or files that manage logistics for a chapter event
  • An Assembly might use the library to collaborate on their conference workshop

Folder organization

Each different community type (Chapter Leaders, Future Leaders, Assembly Leaders, Committees) have a basic folder structure in their Library. New folders can be added or renamed by your Staff contact so you can keep things organized easily.

Library entries

When you upload a file or multiple files, you get to create a page where you can tell others what the files in this entry are and how they can be used.

Then when you upload the individual files, you can give them friendly names so that MeetingMinutes-Final_07July.PDF can show in the Library entry as July Meeting Minutes without you needing to manually rename each file.

When you upload multiple files to one Library Entry, you can drag and drop the files into whatever order is going to be most convenient for viewers.

Users can decide to download all the files in an entry or only specific files.

Users can also preview a file in their browser before downloading it
