Using ENGAGE for Committee Collaboration

Use ENGAGE to optimize your committee

Each committee and leadership group has a home on ENGAGE that is designed to allow easy collaboration among the group members.

Who can access it?

Each committee is an invite-only group that is managed by staff in Salesforce, our membership database.  If someone needs to be added or removed, reach out to your staff liaison who can edit the members associated with your community group.

What is it good for?

Your community page provides a one-stop place for the things that help your committee or leadership group operate.

File storage

Use your community library to store documents in one place that everyone on the committee can access.
Here's a short video on using the library.

Calendar

Your community has a calendar that only your community group can see. Use this to share the next meeting for your group so that everyone has the right date/time and Zoom link.

Directory

The list of people in your community is shown in the directory. You may see that the number next to the Directory doesn't match the actual people you see in the directory; this is because some of your community may not have logged into ENGAGE and accepted the Terms and Conditions for ENGAGE, or they have adjusted their privacy settings to ones that might restrict who can see their profile.  The best solution is to identify who isn't showing up on the list and reach out to them personally and ask them to login and change those settings so the committee can see their profile.

Discussions

The community has a discussion board that everyone is subscribed to. By default we try to set it up so that committee members get those discussion posts in real-time. However, frequency can be adjusted by each user and your members might have changed it from a real-time delivery to a daily delivery (or event No Email delivery). If your committee is ready to become active, ask your members to change those settings specifically for your committee back to Real-time delivery.
Here is a short video on how to do that.
